DAY341 :: LIGHTWIRE

This is a bit of departure for me. I love dragging my shutter but getting it all to work together can be a bit of a challenge. This shot was inspired from endless other people’s images and the drive to want to capture something of my own. My vision for the image grew from seeing a pack of old-school sparklers at our local IGA… i was so surprised, i had to buy a pack. That pack of sparklers sat on my desk for 2 weeks while i pondered what i could do with them… exciting, i know…

My favourite part of the image is the “glow” of the light-wire.

Knowing that i captured an image that will never be made again, has never been made before and was only there for 10 seconds. I enjoyed this shot so much, it will probably be a series of 4-5 images for the project. So if you’re not into long exposure images of sparkles, please come back in about 4 days… (;-)
